CARCAT-RED Virtual Simulation
CARCAT-RED has 3 configurable features.
STANDBY mode - When this feature is enabled CARCAT-RED goes into STANDBY mode when car engine is "ON".
(Default setting - Enabled)
SHUTDOWN mode - Enabling this feature CARCAT-RED will go into power saving shutdown mode, in case the car battery voltage drops below 10.5V.
(Default setting - Disabled)
AUDIBLE BEEP - CARCAT-RED gives an audible 'beep' every 30 seconds. This is a troubleshooting feature. The audible beep is generated by the same ultrasound crystal. The beep gives a reassurance that ultrasound is also generated.
(Default setting - Enabled)
The below simulation allows CARCAT-RED user to configure (enable / disable) the features and see the resulting actions. To simulate the STANDBY / SHUTDOWN modes move the voltage slider to simulate car battery voltage.

Note - For a 24V battery system the mode voltage levels would simply double. But, if the battery drains below 17V CARCAT-RED will mistake it as a 12V system and behave accordingly.
